Santa Monica welcomes PC gamers with new features

The action-packed Kratos epic “God of War Ragnarök” is coming to PC. With exclusive new features and a free DLC, Santa Monica Studio is offering players a special treat via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The PC port from “God of War Ragnarok” is about to be released. The launch will take place tomorrow on the platforms Steam and Epic Games StoreSanta Monica Studio and Jetpack Interactive even took the opportunity to add additional features to the game during development.

In addition to the full content of the console version, the game includes the “Valhalla” DLC, which is available for free. Other new features, including settings for puzzle hints, are currently not available to console players.

God of War Ragnarök gets new features

PC gamers can not only look forward to the already known content, but also to new features that have been added to “God of War Ragnarök” as part of the port. These include support for Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1 and Intel XeSS 1.3. Owners of ultrawide monitors will also get their money's worth.

There are also adjustments to suit individual playing styles. One of the new options allows you to reduce the number of puzzle hints given by companions during the game.

Another new feature is audio description in the cinematics. This feature, which can be activated in the “Audio Accessibility” settings, describes the visual events and thus provides additional context for players with impaired vision.

Both the puzzle hint adjustments and the audio description will be added to the PS5 and PS4 versions later with an update.

The Roguelike DLC “Valhalla”which caused a sensation on consoles last year, is available to all PC gamers free of charge from the start and offers an acclaimed addition to the main game “God of War Ragnarök”.

Additionally, streamers will receive customizable channel-specific notifications to celebrate the PC release of God of War Ragnarök, including animations of Kratos and Thor celebrating new subscribers and donations.

Santa Monica Studio also has a fan kit releasedwhich includes high-resolution wallpapers and social media banners.
