Rockstar wanted to pay that little!

Almost a year ago, the most anticipated video game of all time was finally revealed: GTA 6 is due to be released sometime in 2025 and will probably break all records when it is released. Rockstar Games' game is already one of the most expensive of all time. Nevertheless, the development studio does not seem to have enough money to fairly compensate the artists involved.

When will GTA 6 be released?

Almost a year ago, the Successor to GTA 5 finally revealedIn the first trailer, Rockstar Games promised a release of the game in 2025. But this raises two questions: Can this release period be met? And when will the game be released on PC?

Shortly after the first trailer, there were rumors about a postponement of what is probably the most anticipated game of all time. These rumors then became even more widespread until Rockstar (allegedly) narrowed the official release date down to fall 2025. Whether this date will be kept, however, remains to be seen.

This is how little money bands get for their song in GTA 6

On X (formerly Twitter), a member of the band “Heaven 17” has now commented on the payment. According to Martyn Ware, his manager was asked by Rockstar Games whether they could use his band's song “Temptation”: “Of course, I was initially excited about the immense wealth that was about to happen to me. Until I read the last paragraph of the email…”

According to the report, Rockstar Games only wanted to give the British synth-pop band Pay $7,500. And it's unique. What initially sounds like a good deal turns out to be a real cheek when you take a closer look.
