Rockstar Increasing GTA+ Subscription Prices Secretly

Rockstar Games has quietly significantly increased the price of its GTA+ membership program. If you would like to use the service in the future, you will pay 40 percent more now.

GTA+ is now more expensive

With GTA+, Rockstar Games launched its membership program exclusively for GTA Online on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in March 2022. The service is advertised with a number of valuable advantages. These include some bonuses for GTA Online, but also access to other games such as Read Dead Redemption and the DLC expansion Undead Nightmare. Bully and LA Noire are also scheduled to be recorded this year.

The developer and publisher originally offered the subscription for 5.99 euros per month, but the price has since been increased increased to 7.99 euros. This change will only be communicated when you register for the service on the relevant platform. Whether the price increase and lack of prior notification from Rockstar Games was a good decision remains unclear. Even at a lower price of 5.99 euros per month, fans doubted the value of the subscription, which led many to decide against it.

By the way: On April 2nd, Rockstar Games announced monthly from April to August 2024 an additional GTA$1,000,000 to pay the mandatory GTA$500,000 (source: Rockstar).

Fans are waiting for GTA 6. But Switch players will probably come away empty-handed:

Nothing new about GTA 6 yet:

Fans are eagerly awaiting GTA 6 and especially the release date, which is not yet known. The official Rockstar Games website simply says: “Planned for 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.” What is known, however, is that the latest game in the Grand Theft Auto series takes you to Leonida (source: Rockstar ).
