We now know that the first trailer for GTA 6 will finally be released at the beginning of December and Rockstar Games is obviously preparing for something big.

At the beginning of December, Rockstar Games will finally let the GTA6 cat out of the bag, at least with a first trailer. But it’s also clear that Rockstar is up to something, because it looks like the studio is retiring the Rockstar Social Club, which has been with us as a social and community platform for quite some time.
As one eagle-eyed Twitter/X user noted, all mentions of Rockstar Social Club appear to have been by the official website removed and replaced with references to a platform simply named “Rockstar Games”. In addition, some functions of the Rockstar Social Club have apparently been integrated into the website, which indicates that Rockstar is cleaning up a lot and wants to make the entire portal leaner.
It may appear Rockstar Games are gearing up to sunset the Social Club and launch a new platform. Today the new changes to the Rockstar Games websites brought a new change to the naming scheme of the Social Club to the ‘Rockstar Games Platform”. pic.twitter.com/XYVhd1xXtc

The Rockstar Social Club was launched in 2008 and served as a common platform for the studio’s latest releases with special offers, news, statistics and much more. It will now be interesting to see whether and in what form the Rockstar website will continue to operate – the social club in its current form certainly seems to have closed its doors.

An official statement on the possible conversion or closure of the Rockstar Social Club is still pending. Exciting days anyway, because as Rockstar recently confirmed, the first trailer for GTA 6 will be released in a few days. A day that certainly not a few fans are extremely excited about. This probably doesn’t surprise anyone, as GTA 5 is one of the most successful games of all time and has dominated the PC and console world for three generations.
GTA 3 and its successors Vice City and San Andreas were milestones in gaming history. On the occasion of the release of Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – Definitive
Edition, we look back and reminisce about the most memorable scenes in the GTA trilogy.
