Always more

The Boys is always more political, more gory, more bloody, and more delirious. If saving the world of super is always a priority for Butcher and his gang in season 4things turn out to be more complicated than expected. While the spectators would have believed that The Protector would fall at the same time as his image as the perfect hero, it is absolutely the opposite. He is more powerful than ever, even when his allies turn their backs on him. As for the “Boys”, the group is cracking, but must remain standing to accomplish its objectives. While this new season will end very soon, the spectators still have many issues to discover, in a finale that we hope will be grandiose. At the same time, the actors of the show are multiplying the interviews. The opportunity for some to return to one of the most shocking scenes from the Amazon Prime series.

The most complicated sequence

The actor Chace Crawford still remembers that traumatic scene. In The Boys, he plays the Fishman (a parody of Aquaman), who has had many setbacks with his superhero career. In season 3, he finally finds some comfort and recognition with his partner: an octopus named Ambrosius. If you've seen these episodes before, you'll remember that they don't just talk. They often have sex together.

In an interview with Rolling Stonethe actor admits that he had a lot of trouble projecting himself into this new craze from the director Eric Kripke. “It's so funny and great now, but at first I was like, 'Oh my God, how is this going to work?'” Crawford was so excited, but also so worried about how the scenes would play out, that he almost had a panic attack. In the end, everything went extremely well and this sequence has become cult. “Everyone loved it. I was a little stressed, but everything is fine,” continues the Fishman.

In the rest of the interview, Chace Crawford tells us a little more about the behind the scenes. He explains that there was no privacy coordinator with Ambrosius, because the octopus was fake. Putting a constantly wet sea creature on sheets would have been too complicated to handle. Even more surprising, Eric Kripke reportedly wanted “the classiest, most Oscar-winning British actress we could get our hands on” to voice Ambrosius. In the absence of Judi Dench (James Bond), it was ultimately Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer) who accepted this crazy proposal with great enthusiasm. “That sounds hilarious, I'm in,” and she did it,” the director explained to Variety.
