While you explore the east of Raccoon City with Leon in Resident Evil 9 Requiem, you have to find, among other things, a crank. You need this to access the roofs of the Cedarbrook Apartments and for the secret area between the underground car park and the sewage system. We’ll show you exactly where you can find the crank here.
Find the crank in Raccoon City
You first notice that there is a hidden crank in Raccoon City when you explore the underground car park and the sewage system under the Cedarbrook Apartments with Leon. Between the two areas there is a door to the north that requires a crank. To find them, first follow the main objective and collect both batteries to open the roller door that you out of the underground car park leads to the main street.
After watching the cutscene with the many dead soldiers on the ground on the left and getting the key for the BSAA containers, you can enter the Cedarbrook Apartments next to it. Run up the stairwell here, where you will find another door that requires the crank. Drop down to the floor in the stairwell on the right. After you have defeated all the soldier zombies, you can open the door on the ground floor. To do this, use the crank to the left. As soon as the door is open, the crank breaks off and you can insert it.

Use crank
On the one hand, the crank allows you to open the door to the roofs of the Cedarbrook Apartments. Here you will find part of the detonator for the main target. On the other hand, you can now return to the underground car park and open the previously locked door with the crank.

Here follow the path and a ladder up to the surface. This will take you to a hidden area with a zombie and a BSAA crate and resources. There is also a door here that you can unlock that will lead you back onto the main street.
