What is the Greve Wood used for in Hades 2?
While playing Hades IIyou will quickly notice that farming and crafting are an integral part of the gaming experience. If you want to unlock new incantations, new weapons or improve your Arcana for example, you will have no other choice than to play repetition to find this or that resource. Among the resources that you will quickly be asked for, you will find in particular the Bois de Grève.
Indeed, the Wood of Greve is one of the resources requested by the game to unlock certain specific elements. We think, for example, of the incantation Containment Ritual which allows you to unlock the La Croisée Fishing Pier behind the wooden door closed with a red seal. Thanks to the latter, you will be able to unlock the Twin Baits which you can give as an offering to certain characters to improve your relationship with them.
In addition to this incantation, the Wood of Greve can also be used to make incantations Surface Air Call (which allows you to unlock the Altars of Hermes on the Surface) and Island Fountain (which unlocks a healing fountain at the Strait of Thessaly). Finally, you will also need Greve Wood to unlock the Aspect of Eos of the Plutonian Torches or to improve some Tarot Cards.
Where to find Greve Wood in Hades 2?
As is often the case with Hades II resources, you will not be able to find Wood of Greve only in one place. However, while many resources require you to equip a certain tool to increase their spawn rate, you will not have to do anything to find Greve Wood or collect it since it is a standard resource in the same way as Moly or Dark Mold for example.
To find Wood of Grevehowever, you must first have unlocked access to the Surface as well as the incantation that allows you to survive there longer. For more information on this subject, we refer you to our dedicated guide. This done, you will have to pass the City of Ephyre and eliminate Polyphemus to reach the Strait of Thessaly. Here, you will have to keep your eyes peeled to come across this famous resource which appears randomly on the ground in any area of this floor (on a boat, on the dock, on an island or even on the beach where you face the boss). Note that to put all the chances on your side, we advise you to perform the incantation Observance of the Secrets of Gaia (7 Moly, 7 Lotus, 7 Moss), to gain a 20% chance of collecting an additional Grevewood each time you pick one up.
