Popular farming game gets off to a disappointing start – less content than its predecessor in early access

Every beginning is simple

With the look you have chosen yourself, you can shoulder the hoe and create your own farm. At the beginning you have two manageable fields, a flower bed and a few chickens. Real manual labor is now required here – the fruits have to be harvested and the fields have to be plowed. This will take quite a long time with your hoe.

You will be rewarded with experience points for all your actions. This means your level will rise very quickly, especially at the beginning. Each new level gives you more crops, animals or farm buildings. There are no difficulties playing from the start, as every mechanic is explained to you in the tutorial. Since there aren't really many of them, you got through them quickly.

You use coins to pay for new plants, which all take different amounts of time to grow. When the fruits are ready to harvest, you can earn experience points and coins. The fruits themselves automatically end up in your inventory. It doesn't matter at all which military fears you buy with the coins.

When harvested, each plant yields more coins than it costs and they cannot wither. You decide for yourself whether you want to take a leisurely stroll through Farm Together 2 or set up a highly efficient giant farm. There isn't much playfulness involved.

Farming without end

You work your way through the dynamic day-night rhythm – without having to sleep. The season changes every 17 minutes and with it the fruits you can grow. Like in Animal Crossing, your game progress continues even when you're not playing. So if you haven't worked for a few days, all fields are ready for harvest.

After your work is done, you should pay a little visit to the city. Fast travel takes you to the second area of ​​Farm Together 2. For a city, there is surprisingly little to do here. A few NPCs wander through the alleys and want to trade with you. But you can't build a friendship with them like in Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing.
