You can catch Pokémon, fight with them, breed them and – what should not be ignored – eat them. We have put together 11 of probably the tastiest monsters in the Pokémon universe for you in the following photo series.
Some of them become official from the Pokédex or the anime described as delicacies, for others we have found our own reasons for wanting to devour them. And last but not least, we even clear up a popular misconception.
Porenta

Porenta is considered a delicacy in the world of Pokémon. The Pokédex even says that the Flying Pokémon was on the verge of extinction because of this. However, humans have it bred – so you can fry the duck until it’s crispy again without any problems and eat it together with the leek.
Owei

Would you like something a little heartier for breakfast? Then just take your freshly caught Owei out of the Pokéball and sizzle it in the pan to the fried egg or omelet.
Schlapfel

With this Pokémon you don’t even need to prepare anything. Schlapfel is one walking apple pie and apparently just waiting to be devoured.
Pokusan

What’s missing from the cake? That’s right, cream! Pokusan’s body is made of solid cream and can come in different shapes. Some of the Fairy Pokémon have, for example small strawberries or blueberries as decoration that can be eaten straight away.
Flegmon

Another delicacy of the Pokémon world is the tail of a Flegmon. There should be sweet juice on the rod – what does it taste like? Your character in Pokémon Sword & Shield probably has it already tried, because there you can cook a dish that looks exactly like the slow Pokémon’s tail.
Gelatroppo

We’d love to lick his stupid grin right off Gelatroppo’s face. At least it looks like Vanilla soft serve – perfect for hot summer days!
Miltank

The Pokémon equivalent of a cow is clearly Miltank. It is even confirmed that children and adults drink or eat the Pokémon’s milk delicious yogurt process.
Tauros

Anyone who wants something real juicy meat has, he resorts to Tauros. A fine bull steak in a spicy barbecue marinade – the thought would probably make many Pokémon trainers weak.
Kingler

Another Pokémon that is officially eaten by humans in the Pokémon world is Kingler. In Pokémon Sword & Shield, it is used in a curry dish. But you can definitely do that too delicious shrimp cocktails make.
Kikugi

We don’t have to say much about this cute Pokémon. Kikugi is considered the Cherry Pokémon and even the Pokédex describes it as a Pokémon full of nutrients, which is very tasty.
Jigglypuff

Yes, we want to eat Jigglypuff – out of pure interest. Does it taste like cotton candy or is there meat like pork hidden under all the fur? Or does it taste like an absurd mix of both? We need to know!
NOT Magikarp

Finally, we want to clear up a misunderstanding. Because many people think that Magikarp is also one of the delicacies in the Pokémon universe. But that is wrong!
Yes, Ash and Brock dream about one in a scene in the anime juicy roast magikarp. However, Misty explains shortly afterwards, to the disappointment of the hungry protagonists and Team Rocket, that Magikarp is only made of scales and fish bones and therefore cannot be eaten.
