Pliers and hammer (Haunting case)

  • Access conditions: Rest at the campfire in your Hunter's Camp shelter during the quest Those of the woods

When you wake up, go down towards the east to trigger the Haunting Case. Enter the courtyard to the right of the blacksmith's house to trigger a cutscene introducing you to Nellie Heayton and ask her where her husband, Fortune, is.

You will have to examine two areas nearby: the interior of the house and the forge outside on the side. Start by entering the house and completing the listening chant ritual near the bed. Then, go out of the house and inspect the nails on the deck and work tables. Once done, reveal the echo located near the forge.

Following this, take control of Antea and reveal the footprints heading east. Follow these footprints northeast until you reach the Burning Grove, then follow the road east until you hear screaming. Help the blacksmith attacked by wolves then talk to Fortune before entering the cabin.

Once inside, take the tools placed on the table, revealing their echo, and tap the bottom board to unlock a door and be able to reach the back of the house. Use Antea's powers again to follow a new ground trail and follow it northwest before diverting east until you reach a quarry.

Turn around and turn right to climb a wall on your right (towards the west). Turn left once you reach the top and head north to find a jump bridge to Antea.

Continue straight, cross the footbridge and reach the base of the quarry to find a group of specters. Once everyone is down, examine the hammer on the ground and perform a Forced Manifestation ritual to understand that this is Nellie's real husband, Fortune, and that the man you met earlier is not who you think.

Then follow the small path towards the south-east, climb the nearby wall and find the shelter of the high cavern to reach that of the hunters' camp to find Nellie, the impostor named Arther Carty and the ghost of Fortune . Now is the time to make your choice. Be careful, because although this is not directly mentioned for the consideration of your choice, it will have a impact on the price of items sold by Nellie within the Hunters' Camp.

  • Blame Nellie : The store will be taken over by Arther with an increase in prices. Contributes to Antea's resurrection.
