Players not interested? Amazon charts contradict

While some players have been critical of the PS5 Pro and have been arguing against the hardware since its launch, current charts show considerable interest. The console is about to be officially released.

The PS5 Pro announcement has in the gaming community different reactions caused. While some people express concerns about the price and the need for such an upgrade, there is a fan base that is eagerly awaiting the release.

It still remains to be seen whether the Costs 799.99 euros will scare off many consumers. However, the Pro version of the Sony console is not aimed at the mass market anyway. The PS5 Slim remains the console that ends up in the shopping cart most often.

Still, advance sales suggest that demand for the PS5 Pro is quite high.

Number 1 in the Amazon charts for best-selling consoles

Despite the criticism of the PS5 Pro, the console is performing well Amazon US currently the console top spot. In the overall charts, which also include games, accessories and credit cards, the upcoming hardware is in seventh place.

Taking console hardware and accessories into account, the PS5 Pro is followed directly by the DualSense controller (ranked 14th in the overall charts), the PS5 Slim (20th) and several Xbox controllers PlayStation Portal (29).

The Switch took 43rd place in the overall video game charts. Xbox consoles do not currently appear in the overview of the 100 best-selling video game products on Amazon.com.

The situation is similar at Amazon Germany – along with many other countries such as Italy, France and Great Britain. However, the DualSense leads here (11th place in the overall charts), ahead of the PS5 Slim in the Digital Edition (13) and the PS5 Pro (14). Launch of the PS5 Pro in November

Technically, the PS5 Pro is supposed to impress with a GPU that offers 67 percent more computing units and promises a performance increase of 45 percent compared to the standard model. Another advantage is the PSSR technology, which offers AI-supported upscaling. Last but not least, the ray tracing qualities should benefit from the overall package.

The PS5 Pro features a design that is based on the PS5 Slim, but with three black stripes on the sides. The console remains in the white and black color scheme, but is equipped with a 2 TB SSD and Wi-Fi 7.

Sony Interactive Entertainment plans to launch the PS5 Pro on November 7, 2024. The 30th Anniversary Edition will be released in the same month, but it seems to be largely sold out.

The Pro model of the limited series to mark the 30th anniversary of the first PlayStation was just minutes away – in some places within seconds – sold out and has been lingering since then with hefty markups on eBay and Co. fans struck back in the meantime.
