Pax Dei – Your first minutes! What to collect and craft first? (part 3)

Pax Dei is a complex sandbox MMORPG in terms of crafting and construction possibilities, particularly in the face of the dozens of materials that you will come across from your first minutes in the game. In this last article, we will go as far as the creation of the all the important workbenches. This will allow you to have access to all the basic equipment. Beyond that, you will still have to go hunting for rarer components, especially if you want to insert spells on your equipment.

In the second article, we were able to deploy the Basic Blacksmith Workbenchwhich allows you to crafter most other workshops. Here, it will be a matter of deploying most of the other workshops. There will be some left, but they are probably not essential to begin with. As in the second episode, here is what you will need.

Each “Workshop / Table Craft“corresponds to a profession, and is composed of a certain number ofingredientsas well as a intermediate component also requiring ingredients (often different from those required for workshop installation)

  1. Let's start with the Forge. L'Blacksmith's workshop requires 2 blue planks, 4 blue planks, 2 clay, 10 coal, 3 stones and 20 wooden dowels as well as the Basic Bellowscomposed of 2 long blue sticks, 3 Coarse Leather Strings, 10 Rawhide20 steel nails and one Anvil Iron Head for the Simple Forge.
  2. Let's continue with the cook's work plan which requires 20 stones, 50 coals and 25 clay and the Basic Cooking Tools in L'blacksmith's workshop which requires a steel sheet (“Iron sheet“), two short blue sticks, 2 flints..
  3. It is not finished. You are still unarmored and almost unarmed! To remedy this, you have to craft the workshops Armor And Weaponsmith ! The two intermediate components “Basic Armorsmithing” And “Basic Weaponsmithingare also obtained from the Blacksmith's workshop and both require 4 steel bars, 5 steel nails and two short blue woods (each).
The installation requires 4 blue planks, 6 blue planks, two steel sheets and 20 wooden dowels.
  4. To avoid dehydration, you must drink. But there you have it, you don't have a well (Water Well) ! This is good, it is crafted via the basic workbench (the very first). The intermediate component is called “Wooden Winch“and asks for 10 wood, 10 wooden pegs, 40 Flax. To install the well add: 42 stones, 3 blue planks and 12 blue boards.
  5. Cloth-wise, it's a different chain from armory, although light outfits also have stats. Still at the basic workshop, you can now attack the “Basic Leatherworking Tools. You will need a bone fragment, 10 wood and 5 flint. And for the table “Simple Leatherworking Tableitself, 4 blue planks, 6 blue planks and 20 wooden dowels.
  6. The next step will unlock three workshop recipes for us. It's about “Basic Tailoring Toolswhich will unlock the spinning wheel (Spinning Wheel), the Tailor’s table (Simple Tailoring Table) and the loom (Simple Loom). For this component, you need a bone fragment, 10 wood and 5 Flax. (x3 therefore)
  7. Start by placing the spinning wheel for 10 short blue woods, a normal board and 6 dowels. Take the opportunity to craft 50 Coarse Linen String. This will require a lot of Flaxyou may have to go looking for some but it's quite common.

  8. To set the table tailorcount 4 blue planks, 6 blue planks, 20 dowels and 5 Coarse Linen String, but you just crafted 50.
  9. For the loom : 12 blue boards, 8 short blue woods, 40 Wooden pegs40 Coarse Linen String12 Coarse Leather Thong (to do on the Simple Leatherworking Table).
  10. For a bow and arrows, you then need the Basic Fletching Table. As usual, start with the dedicated component “Basic Fletching Tools” which you can obtain at the basic workshop and which requires 20 flint, 20 wood, 10 reeds. For the table itself: 4 blue planks, 6 normal planks, 20 dowels, 2 Coarse Linen String.
  11. Next, we'll have to go for a little walk. This time, it's about mining copper (“Copper“). This may take you a long time because it is much rarer than stone. Copper's knots look like stone, but tend to be white with orange/brown veins. Allow around forty copper ores, and come back to make 2 series of 10 copper ingots Be careful, it takes a long time to craft (45 minutes for 10 ingots).
  12. While you're at it, craft 10 raw glasses (“Rough Glass”) which will ask you for 50 sand and 20 coal in the Basic Furnace (See part 1) . Again, it's long (40 minutes).
  13. Now it's time to tackle the last series of workshops (Winemaker, Jeweler, Pharmacist and Potter). This time everything happens at the Blacksmith's workshop. Let's start with the most important thing: drinking! And wine by the way! The item to craft for 2 copper ingots and 5 raw glasses is the “Basic Distilling Tools”. With this, you can place the wine barrel (Wine Barrel). You will need to add 10 steel nails and 8 normal boards.
  14. For the jeweler, you need the Basic Jeweler Table. As usual, start with the dedicated component which in this case is called “Basic Jewelcrafting Tools” and asks for two copper ingots, one RawhideA Iron Knife Blade (at the Forge) and 5 raw glasses. To install the table itself, you also need 4 blue planks, 6 blue planks and 20 dowels.
  15. The penultimate is the Pharmacist. Its intermediate component is “Basic Apothecary Instrumentsand can be crafted at the blacksmith's workshop for 5 copper ingots, 5 raw glasses and two Iron Bars. This will unlock two tables for you, including the Alchemy table. (Basic Alchemy Table) which is crafted for 4 blue planks, 6 blue planks, 20 wooden pegs and 5 raw glasses.
  16. And finally, the last one for this article is the Potter's workshop (Pottery Kilns). Its component is “Pottery Molds” and is also done at the Blacksmith's workshop this time against 2 normal boards, 4 clay and 10 steel nails. The oven itself allows you to craft bricks and tiles for your roof, and comes with 12 red planks, 25 stones, 12 normal short wood stock. For the red boards, you may still need to grind a few levels of Wood.
Pax Dei (alpha)

There you have it, the list is not exhaustive, and there are still other workshops, as well as advanced versions of some. But you have plenty to get started and prepare a little stuff. It's a lot of farming, a lot of components and we hope that these guides have allowed you to get to the essentials and not waste too much time. Now it's time to go on an adventure!
