Pax Dei – Your first minutes! What to collect and craft first? (part 2)

Pax Dei is a complex sandbox MMORPG in terms of crafting and construction possibilities, particularly in the face of the dozens of materials that you will come across from your first minutes in the game. In this second article, we will go as far as the creation of the The Blacksmith's workbench, which will allow, in the third episode, the creation of all the basic workshops for each other profession. Then it will be up to you to play!

After obtaining your Simple Carpenter's Workbenchi.e. the basic workbench, in the first episode, it will be a question here of crafter all the others established in order to have access to all the basic equipment of the game. Then, it will be up to you to play and go exploring, in a dungeon or in pvp !

We will start by looking for the Basic Blacksmith Workbench, which allows you to craft the second part of the recipes for the workshops. To do this you will need the following items (they cover everything it will take).

Each “Workshop / Table Craft“is composed of a certain number ofingredientsand often of a intermediate component also requiring ingredients (often different from those required for workshop installation)

The sequence is important here so as not to find yourself stuck at a moment by a lack of components or elements that are not yet available. A simple way to get the Blacksmith's workbench (Basic Blacksmith Workbench) is to proceed as follows:

  1. Let's start on the workbench by crafting the anvil stone (Anvil Stone10 stones) and place it (5 stones, 10 wood).
  2. Do the same by placing the charcoal oven (Charcoal Kiln): 25 clay, 10 wood, and produce 80 coals there. If you don't have clay, you can usually find it near areas where there is water.
  3. Return to the block and craft 14 short blue sticks (“Rough wood stock shorts). This will also unlock the basic stove blueprint (Basic furnace). You can lay it down for 60 clays, 12 short blue woods, and 8 stones.
  4. Now it's time to leave your base and go do some mining! You will need 40 impure iron ore. They are much less numerous than the stones, you may have to wander around for a while. Don't forget to craft the pickaxe if you haven't yet, but keep the click handy to equip shield and spear! The wildlife will not appreciate you more than in the 1st article! It would be good to kill a few of them to collect at least five bone fragments (Bone fragments) and some skins which will be used later.
  5. Also monitor areas close to water, because we also need 8 reeds (Reed).
  6. Back at base, it will involve crafting a batch of 20 iron ingots with the impure iron ore that you have just mined and with the 80 coals that we had previously produced.
  7. With these ingots, the rest happens on the anvil: you must produce at least two iron bars (Iron bar), two iron sheets (Iron sheet) and four iron nails (iron nails, pack of 10). It is possible that you miss the crafts, but logically the 20 ingots should be enough. Put them aside, there are still a couple of things that need to be taken care of before placing the blacksmith's workbench, which is our main target.
  8. You can now craft on the workbench the Basic leatherworking tools (1 o fragments, 5 flint, 10 wood) to unlock the hide drying station (“Simple Tanning rack) and the leather working table (“Simple Leatherworking table“).
  9. You can now install these two workshops. The first requires 8 reeds, 6 long blue sticks, 2 short blue sticks. The second requires 4 blue planks, 6 blue planks, 20 wooden dowels.
  10. It is now time to take care of this famous Blacksmith's workbench (“Basic Blacksmith Workbench“). First, you need to craft the Basic Blacksmithing Tools on the workshop: you are starting to get used to it. It requires the 2 iron sheets, 2 iron bars and 4 iron nails, which we crafted on the anvil in step 7.
  11. With the intermediate component in your pocket, you can place the table. In addition to this component, you will need 6 blue planks, 4 blue planks, 20 wooden dowels.

This blacksmith's workbench is an important step, because it will allow you to craft the blueprints of the workshops that you are still missing. This is what we will detail in the third and final part of this tutorial 'First Minutes'.
