No PvP if you don't want it

The first thing to note about Pax Dei is that there is no wild PvP! Indeed, in most of the map, you will not be able to fight against other players and if you die, your stuff will only be recoverable by you.

There is still one exception, the central area of the map which contains an entirely PvP region. Be careful if you go through there, because not only can you be attacked, but you can also take your equipment once you are dead. You therefore risk losing everything you had on you.

Choose your departure location wisely

One of the important choices at the start of the game will be that of your starting location. On Pax Dei, you will have quite a few different biomes, each with their own little particularities. What we will advise you, is to settle in an area with a lot of biomes around.

This will allow you to have a little bit of everything at hand, because you will see, crafting is a very important mechanic of the game. Still prioritize resources like wood which you will need in large quantities. VYou don't want to do 50 km every time you need to.

Avoid PvE during the first few hours

On Pax Dei, you will realize very quickly that you are weak, very weak. For example, we advise you not to look for trouble, especially at the start of the game with the local fauna. You will see that wolves for example are capable of destroying you in less time than it takes to say it.

Same thing for NPCs, who even once well equipped are far from being a pleasure, especially when solo. Concretely, don't concentrate on PvE before you have a minimum of equipment, you will simply die in a loop.

On Pax Dei, the good news is that you theoretically won't have to specialize. The skill leveling system is simple, the more you perform an action, the more experience you will gain in a related skill and the more it will level up.

Be careful though, because if in fact it is possible to be at the max in all skills, it requires a lot of time and we will still advise you to specialize initially at the risk of being certainly not bad in anything, but above all good in nothing!

You've probably seen the trailers with impressive cities built by players and you're wondering how to do it. Well, for that, you will have to use plots which will privatize a space where you will be the only one who can build.

The number of plots allocated corresponds to your founder's pack and it is possible to pool them in a clan, in order to create a larger space where you will, for example, be able to build large projects like cities or castles.

Craft and skill levels

We told you a little earlier, everything will be governed by skills on Pax Dei and in particular crafting! Indeed, the recipes will require a minimum level in certain skills. If you don't have it, you can still try it.

The problem is that you will then have a success percentage. If you're lucky, no worries, you have your item. But if things go wrong, you not only don't have your object, but in addition you lose the resources used.

Aim for workshops before construction

As we told you, on Pax Dei what first attracted a number of players were the large constructions. The problem is that these are not only long, but will require a lot of things. First of all, we will advise you to leave them aside a little.

Instead, focus on the diversity of the workshops. There are a lot of them in the game and what we will advise you to do is simply to build as many as possible on your starting plot to have a base camp that is functional and will save you time afterwards.

Food and buffs

During your adventure, you will have to feed yourself and you will gradually discover that certain foods will offer you buffs which are sometimes very useful. But where it gets very interesting, Pax Dei allows you to accumulate these bonuses.

Indeed, above your life bar, you will see up to three different foods that you ate and the bonuses that they will bring you. It's up to you to test different foods to find interesting combinations, in addition to improving your cooking skills.

Regeneration of life

On Pax Dei, your life goes back passively. Obviously, as you can imagine, it tends to rise quite slowly and it will be possible to speed up all of this, in particular with the help of healing potions that you will be able to craft.

For this, you will need an alchemy workshop. The first, the small healing potion, will require, for example, 2 Berserker mushrooms and 2 units of water. Attention, because the latter requires a level 2 in alchemy and you can therefore miss some crafts at the start of the game.
