In an irresponsible and negligent mix of arrogance and digital self-dramatization, the controversial kick streamer N3on and his friend, the car YouTuber Squeeze Benz, crashed a 260,000 euro Lamborghini Urus during a live stream and then fled. The entire accident event was also broadcast live on the Internet.

Accident and hit-and-run live on the Internet

What exactly happened? On April 29th, N3on and Squeeze Benz streamed together driving a Lamborghini Urus through New York. At the wheel was Squeeze Benz, who is already notorious in the metropolis for his reckless driving (you can see it in the video embedded below).

He's also known for regularly taunting police officers and engaging them in car chases – so it's no wonder he keeps his identity secret and wears an opaque helmet. You can see what it looks like in the following video of him drifting through Times Square:

The situation described at the beginning escalated when Squeeze Benz began speeding on the highway and recklessly overtook numerous cars. N3on panicked and shouted that the driver's antics could lead to him being banned from Kick – he didn't show any consideration for the other road users.

Shortly afterwards they came to a busy stretch of road and the driver began to weave riskily through the heavy traffic. There actually was a rear-end collision. But instead of getting out, Squeeze Benz ran away.

Kick is a breeding ground for idiots

This isn't the first time Kick streamers have made headlines for their reckless behavior. The platform is known for often testing the boundaries of what is permitted and moral, which always leads to controversy.

There are not only gambling streamers banned from Twitch here, but also many other dubious characters – you can find out more about this in the following articles:

As the reactions on Reddit show, many users are calling for tougher action against such dangerous content and the streaming platform. Kick be a breeding ground for idiots, one user commented.

Even if the rules of the market leader Twitch are often described as too strict and opaque, such actions cannot remain without consequences. The streamer ExtraEmily was banned for some time last October after she was using her cell phone while driving.

At Kick, however, the guidelines appear to be less rigorously enforced, with N3on's account still accessible despite the potentially life-threatening action.
