750 Lego pieces for just under 30 euros – in the classic style, like before. This is currently available directly in the Lego online shop.
The Lego Classic creative set for building and playing (11044) is reduced from 49.99 euros (RRP) to 29.99 euros in the official Lego online shop (look at Lego). This corresponds to a discount of 40 percent and the current one Best price.
Availability is limited to a maximum of three copies per household; according to Lego, the price is valid “while stocks last”. The offer has been running since October 1st and is marked “last opportunity”. The set, which was released in 2025, is apparently a discontinued item.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Lego Classic creative set?
The set is aimed at Children from five years old and contains 750 colorful building blocks as well as special elements such as wheels, windows and eyes. Three 16×16 building boards serve as the basis for your own creations. The enclosed instructions (link to PDF) show how the stones can be used to assemble a house or a dog, for example.
We like this:
- + 750 parts for under 30 euros
- + 3 building boards included
- + Can be combined with other sets
This bothers us:
- – No minifigures (“Lego men”) included
- – No technical elements such as motors or sensors
For children who like to implement their own ideas, the set offers enough material for several projects at the same time. However, minifigures and themed parts such as spaceship cockpits or vehicle bodies found in more specialized sets are missing.
Conclusion: Who is the Lego Classic creative set worth it for?
The current price makes the set a reasonable option for birthdays or as an introduction to the Lego world. Tip: For Lego orders over 55 euros there are no shipping costs (under this 3.50 euros are charged). So it might make sense to buy two sets at once or another gift for Christmas.
