The October restock for PS Plus Essential is here. Just in time for the beginning of the month, Sony has activated the new additions announced last week.
The monthly ones PlayStation Plus games for October offer a good selection of genres that appeal to both action fans and visual novel lovers.
The PS Plus Essential titles for October 2024
PS Plus Essential subscribers will receive Dead Space, WWE 2K24 and Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! in October. They are available to download and play now as long as the subscription remains active.

“Dead Space” is likely to be the highlight of the new month for many. The remake of the classic of the same name, released in January 2023, is one of the highly praised titles of last year. With a Metascore of 89 and a user score of 8.4, the sci-fi horror game convinced both critics and players. It also scores points in the PlayStation Store with a rating of 4.8 stars and is offered there beyond the PS Plus subscription at the regular price of 79.99 euros.
Sports enthusiasts can relax “WWE 2K24” We're happy that it's available as a cross-gen edition for PS4 and PS5. The wrestling game, released in March 2024, features fights with current stars of the WWE scene. The title received a Metascore of 81 and a user score of 6.8, with player opinions on the PlayStation Store also being mostly positive with 4.34 stars. The game regularly costs 74.99 euros in the store.
The third title in the league is “Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!”which was first published in June 2021. This game, which at first glance seems like a harmless visual novel, quickly turns into a psychological thriller. The title received a metascore of 85 and a user score of 8.0. The rating in the PlayStation Store is 4.83 stars, although at a regular price of 12.49 euros the game is significantly cheaper than the other two PS Plus Essential games.
The PS Plus Essential titles for October 2024 are available for download now and can be used long-term as soon as they have been added to your personal library in time.
The essential games are far from over and the announcements and activations of PS Plus Extra and Premium are also imminent. Since Sony Interactive Entertainment usually relies on a reliable pattern, the October dates can be predicted.
The announcement of the next extra and premium titles should therefore take place on October 9th, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. before they are activated on October 15th, 2024. Occasionally Sony deviates from the usual planning, like this Announcement of the Essential new additions for October.

PlayStation Plus offers three subscription levels: Essential, Extra and Premium. In the Essential tier, users get monthly games, exclusive discounts, cloud storage, online multiplayer and share play.
The extra level expands the offering to include an extensive library of PS4 and PS5 games as well as Ubisoft+ Classics. Premium also complements the package with classic games, cloud streaming, exclusive trial versions and special content from Sony Pictures.
