Stripped beta version
Apple has released a public beta of iOS 27 that brings faster phones and new design tweaks, but the new AI-powered Siri isn’t in the EU version.
Apple has made iOS 27 available to those who want to test the beta via its beta program. The system works on the same iPhone models as Ios 26, i.e. iPhone 11 and newer, so many people in Europe can install the update if they want.
One of the biggest changes in iOS 27 is that Apple has worked to make the phone faster. According to Apple, apps can launch up to thirty percent faster, AirDrop transfers can be up to eighty percent faster, and new photos appear faster in the Photos app. These improvements should also be noticeable on older models because Apple optimized the system back to the iPhone 11.
The design called Liquid Glass has been given more settings to make the screen clearer. In the settings, there is now a slider that allows the user to choose how transparent or tinted the interface should be, which should make text and buttons easier to read. The Photos app also has new editing tools that can remove distracting objects, fill in the edges of the image, and change cropping afterwards.
Screen time and parental controls have been redesigned to give parents a better overview and easier ways to set limits. New tools let parents set time limits by app category and create different schedules for school days and weekends. Other minor improvements in the beta are full resolution shared albums, adjustable alarm volume, larger widgets and faster system search.
However, the big AI news that Apple showed off globally, a redesigned Siri based on Apple Intelligence, is not in the iOS 27 beta for EU users. Apple announces that Siri AI is not rolling out in the EU initially, which means that the new conversation-based assistant and features that depend on it are not available on iPhone and iPad in the EU. Apple has not specified an exact date for when Siri AI will come to the iPhone/Ipad in the EU.
It is important to remember that beta versions may contain bugs and that Apple recommends backing up your phone before installation. The final version of iOS 27 is expected to arrive this fall, and the beta will be updated during the summer.
