Nomad Electric Blue Apple Watch Band Review: Vibrant Limited Edition Color

New Nomad Electric Blue Sport Band

Nomad has just released the latest limited color range for its popular Apple Watch sports band. We take a look at the eye-catching new Electric Blue band with our Apple Watch Ultra.

Expect more limited edition colors. That’s what Nomad says with the Electric Blue Sport Strap, available for all Apple Watch 42/44/45mm and Apple Watch Ultra 49mm.

This follows the release and subsequent sale of the High Volta yellow strap earlier this year. High Volta quickly became unavailable and Nomad follows with another vibrant color.

Electric Blue is a lot brighter than the dark Marine Blue band that Nomad sells, but not quite as dazzling as we’d expect from the title. It looks like a slightly pale blue and will probably appeal to more users than something brighter.

The band is as wide as the Apple Sport Band, but feels more rubbery to the touch. The bottom has horizontal channels, unlike the Apple, which allow air to pass through and prevent it from sticking to the wrist during exercise.

Nomad uses special metal fittings on its bracelets. The end can be hidden securely and a dark gray metal pin locks it in place. It’s easy to take off but holds up well during class.

We have never had a case of the Nomad Sport Strap accidentally coming loose from either a workout or water sports like skiing.

Our only concern is that all the Nomad sports bands are tedious to put on the Apple Watch Ultra. Apple has made enough changes to the case that the group doesn’t seem to want to slide perfectly on the first try.

Nomad told us that it helps to insert the strap halfway and then press down on the center lug pin before fully putting it on. This helps a lot in our tests.

Whatever your use case, the Nomad sports harness has been one of our favorites thanks to its comfortable fit and ever-changing range of colors. They don’t come cheap, however, costing $10 more than Apple’s own sports bands.

If you find yourself tickled enough by the new Electric Blue, you don’t have to hesitate to get your hands on it.
