Will the Switch 2 be announced in the next Nintendo Direct?
It is not yet known whether Nintendo will actually announce the new console and its price during the upcoming Direct. In fact, this would be strategically unwise. With an official unveiling of the Switch 2, Nintendo would very likely stifle the last big Christmas sales of the current console. But Nintendo would not be Nintendo if the console manufacturer care about such details would. What could Big N plan to do instead?
The strategy could also be that Nintendo wants to create a hype with the announcement of a new console, which could ultimately boost the current model. Unsuspecting parents simply buy “a Nintendo” for Christmas, regardless of the number behind the name of the console, it may not even be that important.
