New Role-Playing Game Hits the Market for Next-Gen Consoles

The strategy role-playing game “King Arthur: Knight’s Tale” is now available for consoles. The launch trailer once again sets the mood for the dark adaptation of the Arthurian legend.

The responsible development studio at Neocore Games released the strategic role-playing game “King Arthur: Knight’s Tale” for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S today. The classic story of the Knights of the Round Table was used as the basis for this dark adventure.

Arthur has fallen into madness

Players take on the role of Sir Mordred, King Arthur’s archenemy. The dark knight killed the king, but with his last breath he also sent him to the afterlife. Now both have died but are still alive. The Lady of the Lake resurrected you to kill what became King Arthur after taking him to the mystical island of Avalon.

In terms of play, you can expect a mix of turn-based strategy games and character-focused role-playing games. You must lead a group of heroes on the battlefields, make moral decisions and rebuild Camelot. To do this, you will be sent to a land of nightmares where hideous monsters await you. The heroes will have six different classes (Defender, Fighter, Sniper, Vanguard, Arcanist, Sage), so you should put the group together carefully.

However, the heroes can also die. Injuries, curses and illnesses can cost you a lot of time, so you should make sure that facilities are available in Camelot. And that becomes even more difficult because all the heroes also have their own personalities. Disputes can arise and you also have to fulfill one or two favors. Loyalty is the key to success.

“King Arthur: Knight’s Tale” has been available for the PC since 2022. Now console players can finally enjoy this unique approach to the Arthurian legend. Technically, two different display modes are offered: “Performance” and “Quality”. DualSense functions such as haptic feedback will also deepen the gaming experience on the PlayStation 5.
