May is just around the corner and of course it has some new PS4 and PS5 games in store. As usual, you can find out exactly which games you can look forward to in the next few weeks in our little monthly overview.
May is almost here and all sorts of new releases for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will soon find their way into local stores. As usual, we will introduce you to some potential highlights that you can look forward to in more detail in the following lines.
Slash (PS4, PS5)
Release: May 2, 2024
In the role of a brave samurai, you plunge into thrilling duels in which every mistake can mean the game over. You not only have to keep an eye on your opponent, but also your own position, your stamina and your warrior's breathing.
With “Slash” you can expect a 2D fighting game that is quick to learn but difficult to master and is full of excitement. There are five different characters to choose from, with which you can compete against the AI or other players both online and offline in 16 stages. You can also plunge into an exciting story mode. Among other things, 50 unlockable skins are intended to ensure long-term motivation.
Indika (PS4, PS5)
Release: May 8, 2024
The young nun Indika has to assert herself in a strange world where religious visions meet harsh reality. Our protagonist has a special companion, the devil, at her side as she goes on a search for herself. Because of her special “acquaintance”, you shouldn’t let the innocent and modest-looking nun be fooled by her relatively young appearance.
The team at the small indie studio Odd Meter promises you a unique experience with “Indika”. What's more: With their latest game, the creators want to challenge the norms established in the industry and put them to the test.
Morbid: The Lords of Ire (PS5)
Release: May 17, 2024
Although the dangerous Gahars were repulsed, the beasts are far from defeated. That's why you have to go out again in the role of the brave Strider to face the monsters in a dark world full of suffering and pain.
Unlike its predecessor, the makers of “Morbid: The Lords of Ire” have opted for a 3D perspective, which will allow you to feel the intense Soulslike action even more directly. So that you have a real chance against the beasts, you can of course unlock numerous new pieces of equipment and weapons during the course of the adventure. You also have to decide whether you want to brave the madness or fall prey to it.
MultiVersus (PS4, PS5)
Release: May 28, 2024
Almost a year has passed since the multiplayer brawler “MultiVersus” was taken offline. Since then, the development team at Player First Games has been diligently working on optimizations and also given the game a visual upgrade with Unreal Engine 5. Now the relaunch of the title is not that long away and you can of course also look forward to some new content compared to the original version.
If you are not yet familiar with the concept of the fighting game: As the name suggests, various characters from Warner Bros. Discovery's extensive license catalog come together here. So if you've ever wanted to find out who would emerge victorious in a fight between Wonder Woman, Shaggy, Rick, Finn and Arya Stark, you can fight it out here.

F1 24 (PS4, PS5)
Release: May 31, 2024
As part of the new driver career, you have the opportunity to experience the career of a real Formula 1 driver for the first time in the history of the popular racing game franchise. You are free to slip into the virtual skin of a driving legend, choose a currently active driver or create your own character. As a newcomer, hold your own against the competition and go for gold in as many races as possible.
The makers of Codemasters promise an even more realistic driving experience. The handling should feel even more dynamic than in its predecessors, thanks, among other things, to revised suspension kinetics and improved aerodynamic simulation. You also get even more setting and optimization options than before. “F1 24” is the most authentic game in the series so far.
