Netflix is rolling out its releases for the week with a shocking film, a series that promises to be absurd, and the story of a chaotic football event. Here are all the new features.
We're getting a little deeper into the subject of the new Netflix releases for May 2024. The first week started slowly but with a few “bangers” as the youngest say. In addition to films like Knock at the Cabin or Bohemiam Rahpsody, subscribers and animation fans were able to sit down in front of the feature film and the series Jujutsu Kaisen, season 1 of Dr. Stone or even T-PBON which made his debut on the service. Netflix films from May 6 to 12, 2024
THE film of the Netflix releases for the week of May 6 to 12, 2024 is a French production: BAC North. The feature film by Cédric Jimenez (November) which was presented out of competition at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival and which caused great controversy. This shocking work with Gilles Lellouche and Adèle Exarchopoulos focuses on the BAC Nord, a brigade responsible for reducing the crime rate in the northern districts of Marseille, regardless of the methods used. A film which caused debate for its representation of the Marseille city, and its recovery by the far right, thus giving more credit to the critics. Watch on May 7 on Netflix. Two days later there will be Mother of the Bride.

Netflix series of the week
From May 6 to 12, 2024, Netflix will try to entertain you with its new mini-series Bodkin. A television show filled with black humor where we follow three podcasters who will investigate the disappearance of strangers in a coastal town in Ireland. An investigation that could well exceed anything they had imagined. “The series questions our relationship with the truth and highlights the stories we tell ourselves to justify our beliefs and legitimize our fears” (via Netflix). The charm of Ireland and black humor seem to be the main arguments. Season 2 of the animated series Blood of Zeus is also arriving, alongside the Turkish film Thank You and Next.
