Supergiant Games showed off gameplay from the highly anticipated Hades 2 during a surprise stream. And I might as well say it right away: it looks truly divine.
The Supergiant Games stream focused on the upcoming Hades 2 technical test. This will allow the lucky ones to play the title for free before its early access release shortly. And what we saw clearly makes us want to dive into this adventure with Melinoe facing the titan Chronos!

Hades 2 reveals its divine gameplay
For three hours, the talented independent studio Supergiant Games treated us to gameplay from Hades 2. A way like any other to make players want to register for the upcoming technical test on PC to try out the game for themselves in advance -themselves. And it's hard not to be tempted by this truly mouth-watering presentation. We were indeed able to see the combat system extensively. Like the first Hades, this one is divinely nervous and satisfying.
The Supergiant Games stream was also an opportunity to meet the new deities and characters who will accompany Melinoe in Hades 2. Regarding the new members of the Greek pantheon, we can currently count Apollo and Hestia. As for new characters, we have Hecate, mistress of witches and mentor of Zagreus' sister. We can also count on Nemesis, incarnation of Vengeance and daughter of Nyx, as well as Odysseus. Well-known faces from the first opus are of course making their return, such as the irrepressible Zeus, Poseidon, Demeter, Aphrodite, Artemis and Charon.
New content is being woven
In addition to a divine cast of endearing characters who, among other things, contributed to the resounding success of the first part, Hades 2 will of course include its own share of new features. For example, we have Arachne, who can alter the statistics and appearance of Melinoe's outfit. Our heroine can also indulge in farming and fishing between two runs. The resources from these additional activities will then be useful to us during our adventure if we take care of them regularly. A welcome diversity on this point compared to the first opus.
During her attempts to defeat Chronos, Melinoe will have a list of tasks to accomplish entrusted by Moros, emissary of the Fates. By completing these secondary objectives we will receive various rewards. You will have understood, this first draft of Hades 2 already looks very complete and promising. And we're not even talking about the final game here! Players selected by Supergiant Games will be able to try this early build soon on PC, via the technical test. After that, you will have to go through very early access, while waiting for a version 1.0 release later. Either way, the gods seem to once again grant their favor to this extremely anticipated sequel.
