Among the video game adaptations of Dragon Ball, two are particularly dear to the hearts of fans: Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi. Seventeen years after her last opus, the latter finally returns! For the occasion, it is renamed its Japanese title, “Sparking”. We are therefore impatiently awaiting it, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero should arrive this year!

The fourth part of Budokai Tenkaichi is gradually revealed through trailers or promotional images in V-Jump magazine. However, it is also the victim of regular leaks… This is how we learned that the game has a good chance of being shown in detail during the Summer Game Fest. But that's not all, because a new leak raises serious questions.
An uncertain character for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Last Friday, fans noticed a delightful detail: the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero icon which appeared at the top of their profile SteamDBthe Steam catalog database, showed an as yet unrevealed character in the game's roster. It was none other than Son Goku in his ultra instinct form discovered in Dragon Ball Super.
But a turnaround calls this discovery into question. In fact, the icon has since been modified to make room for the game logo. The page was actually updated during the night of May 26 to 27. From now on, the Kanji 武 (“Bu”), from the word “武道” (“Budō”) which designates Japanese martial arts, replaces the image of Goku. This Kanji is particularly known to Dragon Ball fans since it decorates the walls of the martial arts tournament stadium in the manga and is regularly used in the games, sometimes even in their title (” Budokai”).
So, did the Steam platform leak a Goku skin in advance? Several hypotheses are plausible: either the character should be officially revealed soon, or he will not be immediately available in the game. In fact, due to the economic system of the latest Dragon Ball games, we can now wonder if Sparking Zero will integrate DLC. So far, nothing has been said about this for the game. Let's hope that this leak does not have a bad surprise in store for us…
