New Alien game canceled, the idea was revolutionary

Once upon a time there was an Alien video game with a truly brilliant idea. But this game that could have turned Alien into the new Assassin’s Creed, according to the most recent information, will never arrive.

From its developers there are neither confirmations neither denials but, thanks to the work done by the colleagues of gamepressure we were able to retrace what would have been the path of the Alien it should have been.

The idea at the center of the project that was probably hiding behind the code name Black, is truly groundbreaking as it would have transported xenomorphs into a period historical very far from the science fiction future in which we have always seen them.

Bloober Team, Alien and the Black Plague project

To avoid giving false hope let’s start from the end. According to sources gathered by gamepressure the Alien project produced by Blooper Team was stuck when 20th Century Foxwhich owns the rights to Alien, was acquired by Disney. So everything we are going to tell you probably it will never arrive but dreaming costs nothing.

Blooper Team a few years ago ended up on everyone’s lips because there was talk of his involvement with Silent Hill. After all, there are rumors dating back to about one month ago that the Polish development team would make a deal with Sony and as Sony is working within the Silent Hill franchise, rumors have come back that the Polish development team’s project is set in the city of mists.

The noises I watch silent Hill they had however been dispelled by Tomasz Gawlikowski who had gone to great lengths to point out that none of the projects being talked about online were about Silent Hill. What if instead of being a project on Silent Hill what was found in July last year was the tea towel of a new video game by Alien? If that had been the case we would have found ourselves in front of the xenomorphs moved back several hundred years: in Middle Ages. The description traced online can also be read through the lens of the scary creatures born from the mind of Ridley Scott, especially since among the key features it was written: “unique setting, an unconventional mixture of Middle Ages And alien species; mature story which pertains to the darker aspects of humanity’s faith with the alien life forms serving as catalysts for character development“.

It would have been great to see Alien set in the Middle Ages and it would have been one first time in the form of video games. But apparently nothing will happen. If you want to console yourself you have to go and find yourself Aliens: Stalker, a comic published by Dark Horse in 1998 in which xenomorphs are the number one enemy of the Vikings. But now the question remains: if he’s not working on Silent Hill and he’s not working on Alien, what will come out of Blooper Team’s horror kitchen?
