Netflix confirms fifth and final season

Those responsible have also confirmed that the last three books of the Witcher saga will be covered in the remaining two seasons. “Baptism of Fire”, “The Swallow Tower” and “The Lady of the Lake” will be implemented accordingly.

You can also expect some new faces in the coming season. Among other things, Laurence Fishburne will take on the role of Regis. Sharito Copley will portray Leo Bonhart, while James Purefoy and Danny Woodburn will bring Skellen and Zoltan to life, respectively. Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey will return as Ciri, Yennefer and Jaskier.

However, Netflix has not yet announced a rough release date for the fourth season of “The Witcher”. However, since production is just beginning, you should show a little patience. It will take a while until the two seasons are finished and Liam Hemsworth settles into his new role as the witcher.

So far, “The Witcher” has been a complete success for Netflix, which is why two spin-offs were created. “Nightmare of the Wolf” and “Blood Origin” had expanded the universe even further. However, recently the reviews from the trade press and the response from viewers have no longer been so enthusiastic. The change in the main actor wasn't particularly well received by most fans. Liam Hemsworth has big shoes to fill after Henry Cavill emerged as the “perfect fit” for Geralt of Rivia.
