Farewell to the People’s Artist of the RSFSR Renat Ibragimov will take place on Sunday, May 15, at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, writes TASS with reference to the press service of the plenipotentiary representation of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia.
The press service called the date and place of the celebrity’s funeral. The singer will be buried in the Muslim section of the Volkovsky cemetery in Mytishchi near Moscow. The farewell ceremony is scheduled for 15:00. “At 17:00, a funeral prayer (jenazah-prayer) will take place,” the press service emphasized.
The death of the Soviet and Russian singer and composer became known on Saturday, May 14. The information was confirmed by the relatives of the artist. The wife of Renat Ibragimov, Svetlana, said that her husband was at home. Suddenly he became ill, Ibragimov felt pain in his heart. The paramedics who arrived at the call pronounced him dead.
Ibragimov’s director Alexander Yakovlev added that the cause of death has yet to be determined.
