Nah, Ubisoft is skipping E3 despite previously confirming their presence

But promises a separate event.

No less than twice, Ubisoft has announced that they will attend this summer’s E3 fair, the last time with the words: “If E3 happens, we will”. However, something has happened along the way, because now the French developer announces that they have decided to “move in a different direction” and thus skip an official presence at the fair.

In a statement to VGC they say that E3 has given rise to unforgettable moments in the industry over the years and that they initially intended to attend. So it won’t be, but as a substitute they will organize a Ubisoft Forward event live in Los Angeles on June 12.

Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will also not be present on the trade fair floor this year, but at least Microsoft will organize its own parallel event.
