My highlight of the PlayStation State of Play is harder than Wolverine and more beautiful than God of War

» Watch video: No Rest for the Wicked: 1.0 Announcement Trailer

A real gaming highlight will be released for PS5 and PC in October.

A comment from Martin Hartmann

Sony has delivered well with the new PlayStation State of Play. While many PS5 players are happy about the brutal Marvel’s Wolverine or the pretty God of War, I was excited by a completely different trailer: No Rest for the Wicked is finally leaving early access in October and will then also appear on the PlayStation 5.

That’s why you have to look forward to No Rest for the Wicked

No Rest for the Wicked is being developed by Moon Studios and is already a really good Soulslike. I’ve already played through the early access version twice on the PC. Once alone and once in co-op mode with three friends.

Even without claws in your hands, No Rest for the Wicked is a tough game. Bosses and even common enemies are deadly and can require multiple attempts. With a large selection of weapons, magic wands and special attacks, you are anything but defenseless.

What’s more, the action RPG looks simply stunning. The backgrounds are reminiscent of paintings and the enemies are wonderfully bizarre monsters that want to be defeated with effective attacks.

What does the full version of No Rest for the Wicked bring?

The 1.0 version of No Rest for the Wicked will initially only appear on the PC and PlayStation 5 in October. According to Moon Studios, a version for Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 will also follow.

With the full version, No Rest for the Wicked will include more than 15 areas. In addition, the developers are also talking about a class system, which should allow a lot of variety and different play styles (currently there are no class requirements in the game and you can distribute skills freely, like in Dark Souls). At the same time, the big update should also complete the story and bring new endgame content into the game. You should be able to experience all of this with friends in co-op mode. There will be crossplay between PC and consoles.

Personally, I’m really looking forward to starting again in the dark fantasy world of No Rest for the Wicked in October. Maybe I’ll even start again.
