Published release of a lightweight distribution MX Linux 23.3created as a result of the joint work of communities formed around the antiX and MEPIS. The release is based on the Debian package base with improvements from the antiX project and packages from its own repository. The distribution uses an initialization system sysVinit and own tools for configuring and deploying the system. For loading available 32- and 64-bit builds (x86_64, i386) with desktop Xfce (2.1 GB), as well as 64-bit assemblies with KDE desktop (2.6 GB) and assemblies (1.7 GB) with Fluxbox window manager.

- Synchronization with the Debian 12.5 package database has been completed. Application versions have been updated. As in previous releases, the default init system continues to be sysVinit, and systemd can be installed as an option. The Linux kernel package has been updated to version 6.1.90.
- The basic package includes meta-packages build-essentialwhich includes a compiler and developer tools that can be used on MX Linux to compile and build drivers.
- In the OEM operating mode of the installer, it is possible to select the system language before starting the setup stage (the configurator will be immediately displayed in the selected language).
- The Pipewire 1.0 media server is enabled by default.
- A function has been added to the locale management utilities to remove all versions of manuals in languages other than the default one in the system.
- Added an option to live-remaster to compress images using the zstd algorithm.
- It is possible to use systemd in live builds by specifying the kernel parameter “init=/lib/systemd/systemd” when loading.
