MultiVersus will make its comeback on May 28 with a new engine and new netcode

The end of the MultiVersus Blip (yes yes, it's not the right comic book publisher)

Let's start with the most concrete information confirmed by the game director Tony Huynh, MultiVersus will come back May 28will remain a free-to-play and it will still be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC. A question about platforms that could arise for some given that the game took advantage of its break to upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 which will therefore bring some visual improvements.

The team was not satisfied with that since the online also started from scratch with a new netcode. We are also promised a more unified experience whatever your machine, but also new moves and mechanics for the characters. Besides, it's a bit of a shame that MultiVersus does not take this opportunity to announce at least one new member of its cast.

But he doesn't come empty-handed at this level either, precisely with levels. Indeed, we are shown at least concept art of the next levels and we see the Townville Town Hall, the Powerpuff Girls town and Dexter's Laboratory. This does not automatically mean that they will be playable but it would be very surprising if this were not the case.

We also notice that the new key art of the game is set in the Warner studios where this video was filmed. Not only do we feel a new atmosphere around the game which attempts to mix its universe with reality via for example the fact that Tony Huynh speaks the characters in this video, but we also spot the water tower clearly in evidence, which has the famous house of Animaniacs. Moreover, we see balloons in the shape of Yakko and Cortex.

IF we just tease the fact that MultiVersus has not finished welcoming colorful characters, the only addition of content concretely addressed in this video is the arrival of a new PvE mode. No clue on how it will work but we're told it will bring new ways to play and unlock unique rewards.
