Ubisoft still has several projects for the Assassin's Creed license. For example, we can mention Jade, the mobile title that propels us to China, and Red, which will take us to Japan. It's important to point out that neither have a release date yet. It also seems that the studio is working on the remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, production of which would have started in September 2023. According to sources from Kotaku and Insider Gaming, the developers would use their experiences on Skull & Bones to modernize, the fourth installment of the assassin's license. Assassin's Creed goes back in time

Fans have published a discovery on Reddit that really takes us back in time. Several video clips from the various Assassin's Creed games, currently in the development phase, have found their way onto the Web. For example, we see Connor from AC3 on a mast, in a setting that has not yet been modeled, or even early gameplay from Origins. Some games were still more advanced than others, like AC 4 Black Flag (which was then called Golden Age). The graphic bases were already present, but it is above all the text boxes which appear to simulate a future dialogue or give indications to the testers which are interesting.

These videos are a real gold mine for fans, always ready to discover the secrets of production. Surprisingly, between these first renders and the final version, there were very few changes. The most important remains that of Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which was still called Victory, and which shows us a first user interface. We see Jacob Frye's first look in a slightly simpler outfit than the one he will wear later.

Less and less dark?

On the other hand, this discovery was also an opportunity for players to regret certain decisions by Ubisoft. On Reddit, some are still complaining about the treatment of Syndicate, which was originally supposed to be much darker. However, the studio quickly changed course: “If you think about it, if someone spends thirty to forty hours in a game, you don't want the atmosphere to be completely oppressive», Explained the studio in a making-of. This decision causes despair among fans. “I would kill for this dark gothic London! It looks so much better and more atmospheric than what we have», exclaims a user. Unfortunately, what's done is done, and fans will now look to the future with Hexe. For fans of dark atmosphere, this new game could put Ubisoft back on track, as it will take us back to the era of witch hunts.
