Motorola thinks about your wallet

Motorola is renewing its entry-level catalog and unveiling three smartphones. The moto e13, moto g13 and moto g23 arrive in France at very attractive prices.

Still very active in the smartphone market, Motorola is starting to renew its fleet for 2023. The manufacturer is presenting its new flagship model for the entry-level, namely the e13. It is accompanied by two new representatives of the moto g family: the moto g13 and g23.

Moto e13: a very small price

First smartphone to unveil, the moto e13 arrives with a sleek and classic design. Motorola evokes neat finishes for its smartphone with a 6.5-inch HD+ screen. The panel is LCD technology and we are entitled to a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz. On the side of the photo, we are satisfied with a rear sensor of 13 megapixels and a front camera of 5 Mpx. The basic functions are there: selfies with portrait mode, night mode, classic photo, video, panorama and pro mode.

The device runs with a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor whose reference is not specified by the manufacturer. In all likelihood, it’s a Unisoc T606 SoC flanked by 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable via microSD. A 500 mAh battery is also present and should offer a good autonomy. Indeed, the configuration is very light and the moto e13 is also delivered with Android 13 Go.

Moto g23 and g13: slight differences

In the moto g family, the manufacturer is offering the moto g13 and g23 this year. Both smartphones have the same 6.5-inch LCD screen displaying in HD +. The refresh rate reaches 90 Hz. For the multimedia component, there is Dolby Atmos certification and two stereo speakers.

Regarding the photo part, the moto g13 and moto g23 come forward with a triple rear camera. It includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical stabilization and omnidirectional auto-focus. Added to this is Quad Pixels technology for better results in low light. Motorola completes the photo equipment of the moto g23 with a 5 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and a 2 megapixel macro module. The moto g13 adds two 2-megapixel sensors dedicated to macro and depth of field.

At the front, the moto g23 still stands out by integrating a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It is 8 megapixels on the moto g13 model. Finally, there are different modes for the photo: portrait, color filter, night, panorama, group selfie…

Inside, the two devices have a MediaTek Helio G85 processor flanked by 4 GB of storage. The storage part reaches 128 GB for the variants sold in France, with the possibility of adding a microSD card. If both smartphones have a 5000 mAh battery, the moto g23 supports TuboPower 30 W charging. Certified IP52, the two phones arrive under Android 13.
