Monster Hunter Wilds Bow Gets New Dragon’s Dogma 2-Inspired Move

Capcom has released a new trailer for one of the weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds , the Bow, which is the third ranged weapon option after the heavy and light crossbows. Unlike them, the bow uses different types of arrows and has a draw time.

The bow can shoot single arrows or volleys, and also rain down arrows from above with a special move. As in previous games in the series, you can charge the shot to increase damage and dodge monster attacks. However, in Monster Hunter Wilds, the bow has received an interesting new mechanic – a tracer.

Once you hit a monster with a tracer, all subsequent shots will be aimed at that mark until it explodes. Additionally, it looks like the development team took inspiration from Dragon’s Dogma 2 by adding the Focus Strike move, which allows you to target multiple points on a monster’s body and fire multiple arrows at them at once.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be released in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
