Yesterday evening, Microsoft Edge 128.0.2708.0 was released in the Dev channel. This information is always interesting when the team releases the stable version of the browser. In this version, two new features were added and, as always, corrections were made.
So, a new toast view was added for the super drag and drop feature to solve the excessive triggering issue. And a solution was implemented for killing a browser process that was stuck on exit. The fixes are:
- Other crash fixes that may have occurred
- Fixed an issue where keyboard focus would not move within the Split Screen section when invoking the Split Screen button, preventing navigation to other screens using the F6 key.
- Fixed an issue where keyboard input prevented editing (adding squares, text, etc.) of the captured screenshot.
- Fixed an issue where the Vertical Tabs button in the Tab Actions menu was not displayed correctly.
- Fixed an issue where empty group names were labeled inconsistently in the Recently Closed hub.
- Fixed an issue where pressing Enter didn't work when renaming the first half of a favorite's name.
- Androids:
- Fixed an issue where icons and names for top websites were not displayed correctly on Android.
- Fixed an issue that caused the browser to open duplicate tabs when clicking links from other apps in Shared Device Mode.
- iOS:
- Fixed an issue where the keyboard remained active in a pop-up state and could not be disabled when editing top web pages.
- Fixed an issue where the edit bar would unexpectedly move up and down when long-pressing on the top web pages to enter rename edit mode.
