Soon Son Goku and his friends will clash again in thrilling battles in “Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero”. The latest trailer for the anime fighting game is all about masters and their students.
Since the official unveiling of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero” Fans of Son Goku, Vegeta & Co. are looking forward to every new information about the anime fighting game. Not surprising, after all, the makers promise brutal fights and a huge array of fighters. With a new trailer, Bandai Namco Entertainment is now revealing a few more game characters. Like that one previous trailers, in which, among other things, Broly (“Dragon Ball Super”) and Kale clashed in their special Super Saiyan forms, the new video also has its own theme. This time everything is under the sign of masters and their students. Accordingly, we can admire, among others, the god of destruction Beerus and his mentor, the angel Whis, as well as Son-Gohan and his friend/student Videl in action.
Can the student surpass the master?
With this, the makers have of course chosen a theme that has been around since the early days of Akira Toriyama manga and anime hits created through its history. Son Goku, for example, had eight different teachers over the course of his adventures, one or the other of which definitely also appears in “Dragon Ball: Sparking!” Zero” will be there. So far, for example, the Lord of the Turtles and the aforementioned Whis have been confirmed.
In the new Master and Apprentice trailer we can see the master-apprentice duos Future Son-Gohan and Future Trunks (“Dragon Ball Z”), Muten Roshi and his apprentices Yamcha as well as Kuririn, Lord Beerus and Whis, Piccolo and the young Son- See Gohan as well as Mister Satan's daughter Videl and Son Gohan in action as teenagers. This means that the already impressive roster of the highly anticipated anime fighting game continues to grow.

The developers at Spike Chunsoft (“One Piece: Burning Blood”) want to “Dragon Ball: Sparking!” Zero” build on the strengths of the popular “Budokai Tenkaichi” series and promise fast-paced fights that are in no way inferior to the fights in the anime original. These include not only blood-curdling attacks, but also massive beam collisions, superhumanly fast actions and planet-shattering ultimate attacks.
In terms of gameplay, this means increased movement speed for Son Goku and his friends compared to its predecessors, new attack options and fresh counter mechanics, which are intended to make the intense duels even more tactical. Thanks to these new features, even more complex attacks than ever before should be possible.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam). The anime fighting game currently does not have a release date.
