Digital Foundry recently tested the Mass Effect Legendary Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Here are the highlights that can be taken from the analysis.
PS5 – dynamic 4K and 60 fps, resolution drops occasionally to 1944r, rare fps drawdowns. Most often found in the first part of the trilogy.
Xbox Series X – dynamic 4K and 60 fps, perfect performance.
Xbox Series S – dynamic 4K and 30 fps, drawdowns fps, most often in the first Mass Effect.
Playstation 5 – 1440p and 60 fps, strange small drawdowns in cut scenes. Otherwise, perfect job.
Xbox Series X – 1440p and 120 fps, unstable, be sure to play on TV / Monitor with VRR.
Xbox Series S – 1440p and 60 fps, no drawdowns, but the picture breaks.
The difference between the regime is minimum. In quality mode, the shadows are slightly better. All three consoles work with the same set of graphics.
The game is 88 GB on the Xbox series consoles and 100 GB on the PlayStation 5. 120fps and Kraken compressions are not available on PS5 due to backward compatibility issues.
