Lucky Player Encounters Rare Minecraft Baby Zombie

Many video games have built-in quirks that make them more interesting. For Minecraft, many of its coolest quirks come from rare encounters that most players can only dream about. However, one recent Minecraft player’s dreams came true when he revealed that he had encountered the crowned baby zombie.

What Are Baby Zombies and What Makes Them Different?

Whether it’s playing online games, iGaming, or your favorite video game, the rush of unlocking a special character or discovering a level you never knew existed all have a similar appeal. Many experts have now worked out that these experiences produce a similar feeling of excitement in the brain. According to iGaming expert Ryohei Kiriyama at techreport.com, many online casino enthusiasts are now fast withdrawal platforms that offer great bonuses to have similar experiences.

Essentially like the thrill of hitting a jackpot, now even games like Minecraft have found ways of engaging players in the same way casino games do. This one had to do with the super rare baby zombie which is a huge deal given that they are almost never seen by the majority of players. An encounter with a baby zombie brings new light to these fascinating attackers.

By the end of 2023, there were over 166 million monthly Minecraft players, all of whom were on the lookout to encounter a rare mob. Survival Mode in Minecraft is a different world than simply building and looking for resources like its more basic gameplay modes do. Keeping your guard up in Survival Mode is essential to spot what lurks in the darkness. Along with maintaining your health and hunger, enemies are always waiting to attack, with zombies lurking everywhere too.

While encountering Zombies is a common occurrence in Survival Mode, they attack and spawn at night by moving towards a player. There are different variants of zombies in Minecraft, including husks, drowned, and the infamous baby zombie. Each variant has its own rules, but the baby zombie, in particular, is one to watch out for.

There is only a 5% chance of a spawn being a baby zombie, which is what makes the recent encounter Minecraft’s version of a jackpot. In general, baby zombies have the same behavior as regular zombies except they are smaller which means they can fit into tiny 1×1 block gaps.

Baby zombies are also a lot faster than regular zombies, so the attack can even happen before a player even realizes they are in danger. This, along with them having the same health as a regular zombie, makes a baby zombie a terrifying prospect within the Minecraft world. However, the fight will be worth it, since they come with 12 experience points on the cards if killed, rather than the normal 5 you can earn from a normal zombie.

Another interesting difference with baby zombies is that they remain that size throughout the game and the armor simply shrinks down to fit.

The Baby Zombie Encounter

The footage provided by Reddit user IAmNotARobot5544 shows the baby zombie encounter. It all happens in a flash, with the baby zombie riding a pig almost and seemingly appearing out of nowhere. It begins its attack but that doesn’t last long against the single hit from the player with an enchanted sword.

The hit killed the pig, sending the now-burning baby zombie running to find a new passive mob. After mounting a chicken in an attempt to fight back, the baby zombie died almost as quickly as it appeared.

Other Zombies and Rarities to Look Out for in Minecraft

What made the rare Minecraft encounter so interesting was how quickly the baby zombie mounted different mobs. From a pig to an unsaddled chicken, it was quick to find ways to attack the player. But ultimately, the baby zombie fought in vain, with the enchanted sword yielding too much power to match. While Zombies are quick, the baby zombie attack was noticeably faster.

Since its creation in 2011, Minecraft has seen many zombie variations. Another zombie in Minecraft to look out for is the geared zombie. These attackers come ready to fight, with armor and weapons at the ready. If they are wearing a helmet, don’t expect them to burn in daylight like the others. They are immune, making them all-round fighting machines at any time of day. While a helmet has a high probability of being picked up by geared zombies, other gear is much rarer. For example, iron armor has a 1.27% chance of being found, while diamond armor has a 0.04% probability.

As Minecraft evolves each year, with newer and better skins and characters, finding rarities becomes all the more rewarding. Regardless of the gaming type, whether it’s encountering Minecraft rarities, finding the perfect offshore site for crypto gambling, or finding that once-in-a-lifetime skin on your favorite online game, it’s these variations of ‘hitting the jackpot’ that keep attracting new players in their droves to the gaming world. For any Minecraft enthusiast who has never experienced that kind of thrill, keep at it and you never know, you may just be the next lucky player to encounter a rare zombie.
