“Dragon Age: The Veilguard” will be released at the end of October. Now you can hear the main theme for the game, which was written by a famous Oscar winner.
Now it won’t be long until “Dragon Age” fans can plunge into a new adventure. “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” will be released on October 31, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
In order to sweeten the waiting time for the players, the main theme of the title is already available. The song was written by Oscar and Grammy winner Hans Zimmer and his long-time colleague Lorne Balfe.
Zimmer has already worked on several games
The German-American composer Hans Zimmer is probably best known for his film soundtracks, such as the music for “The Lion King”, “Gladiator” and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series. However, he is also no stranger to the gaming industry. Among other things, Zimmer controlled the soundtracks for “Crysis 2”, “FIFA 19” or “Ashfall” at.
Many of his compositions were created in collaboration with Lorne Balfe, who also appears again on “Dragon Age: The Veilguard”. It is not yet known whether the two will take over the entire soundtrack of the fantasy game or just the main theme.
There were already rumors about Hans Zimmer's involvement two years ago. Fans asked Trevor Morris, the composer of the soundtrack “Dragon Age: Inquisition”whether he would also be involved in the next game in the series. Morris stated via Twitter that he was hired by BioWare for “Mr. Rooms and Co.” was dropped. However, the tweet was deleted a short time later. The soundtracks for the first two “Dragon Age” parts were contributed by Inon Zur.
EA is happy with the pre-orders
“Dragon Age: The Veilguard” won’t be released until the end of October. However, the fantasy role-playing game has been available for pre-order since mid-August.
