Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii: Karaoke & Dragon Kart

In addition to the official announcement last month, Sega's “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” is now shown in two new gameplay videos. In addition to the combat system, we get to see activities like karaoke or the so-called “Dragon Kart”.

With “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” announced the developers at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios last month another spin-off to the popular series.

This time we take on the role of Goro Majima. The “Mad Dog of Shimano” lost his memory and suddenly finds himself in a real pirate adventure. As is typical of the series, “Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” also offers you the opportunity to pass the time away from the main story with all sorts of activities.

For example, karaoke, which was already featured in numerous other “Yakuza” and “Like a Dragon” titles, is making a comeback. There is also the “Dragon Kart”, an uncomplicated fun racer including the use of weapons.

A new gameplay video gives you a look at the two activities.

Real-time combat and visual customization options

Another element that the video shows is the customization options. In Goro Majima's new adventure you can, among other things, go shopping for outfits to visually adapt the protagonist to your preferences. A second video shows the first 13 minutes of “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.”

Here you can see the classic brawler gameplay of the older “Yakuza” titles again Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name I'm happy that the developers tailored it to the peculiarities of Majima's fighting style. In addition to the “Mad Dog” style from the previous “Yakuza” titles, Majima uses his new “Sea Dog” style in “Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii”.

There are also characters like Queen Michele who play an important role in the story.
