Before exploring the Empire crash site, you should check on your Rebel allies. You will receive a pair of macrobinoculars after the crash, and these will lead you to the rebel village! This rudimentary base located on “Star Wars Island” will need a lot of help to become a real rebel HQ.
The Rebel Village can be upgraded to level 10. How to improve it? Complete objectives such as supplying resources and constructing rebel buildings!
No need to rush to play the hero or worry about seeing your rebel neighbors leave for other skies, the rebel village will remain in the game beyond update 29.40!
High risk crash site
Be careful, just because the Star Destroyer crashed doesn't mean the Empire no longer represents a danger. On the contrary, he will do everything to make your world his new home. The Empire will set up camps all around the crash site, and it will be up to you to storm them to reconquer your world! After spending some time with the rebels, use your macrobinoculars to flush out these enemy bases.
Do you like the architectural style of the Empire? That's good ! If you don't attack them, you will be able to keep the Imperial camps and their occupants beyond update 29.40! The crash site won't disappear either, so you can go and admire the wreckage of the Star Destroyer whenever you want. (Or you can destroy it, if you like.)

Are you more of a civilized type or more of a “Dark Side of the Force” type? Whatever the answer, you'll find different colored lightsabers throughout your world to reflect your personality! However, you cannot craft these weapons yourself in LEGO Fortnite. You must help the rebels improve their village to unlock them! Once you have your lightsaber in hand, you can collect more resources.
Lightsabers are powerful tools in LEGO Fortnite. So powerful that they need time to recharge after a fight. So, make good use of it!
Laser crossbows, blasters, detonators
Let your explosive temper speak when you encounter enemies. Defend yourself with these new craftable Star Wars items from the Rebel Workbench:
- Laser Crossbow: Fires a projectile that deals damage to the target and causes an explosion in the area.
- To unlock the laser crossbow blueprint, obtain durasteel and place it in your inventory.
- DL-44: nothing beats a good blaster.
- To unlock the DL-44 blueprint, obtain Durasteel and place it in your inventory.
- E-11: the regulatory blaster for Imperial Stormtroopers.
- To unlock the E-11 blueprint, obtain a piece of durasteel and place it in your inventory.
- Thermal detonator: the detonator of choice for bounty hunters. This explosive projectile affects a larger area than with dynamite.
- To unlock the Thermal Detonator Blueprint, obtain Durasteel and place it in your inventory.
How do you build a rebel workbench, anyway? To unlock its blueprint, obtain Plastoid and place it in your inventory! For the Rebellion!
You will be able to keep your lightsabers, laser crossbows, DL-44, E-11, thermal detonators and rebel workbenches beyond update 29.40!

All you have to do is lend a hand to the rebels to progress in the LEGO Pass: Rebellion in Construction. This Pass includes unlockable in-game rewards such as the Tatooine Turret and Vats Pack, the Mos Eisley Blue Milk Bar Pack, and more!
Here’s how the LEGO Pass: Rebellion in Construction works:
- After selecting the LEGO Fortnite experience in Fortnite, click the LEGO Pass button at the top of the screen. -*Here you will find LEGO Pass information and a button to view quests. These quests ask you to help the rebels. Complete them to get studs! -*The more studs you collect, the more you will progress in the LEGO Pass! You will unlock in-game rewards as you progress through the free path. You will also be able to unlock rewards from the paid bonus path if you wish.
The free reward track includes 10 decoration packs and the Mos Eisley Market building (the final reward)!
The Bonus Track costs 1,400 V-Bucks and includes 11 additional rewards, unlockable at the same time as those in the Free Track. There is no need to complete additional quests to obtain these rewards. (Rebels always reward good work!)
This path includes 4 Decoration Packs and 7 Builds, including the Dusty Durrr Burger Build (the final reward). Their performances are lunar!
Purchasing the bonus track allows you to instantly unlock the Chewbacca outfit. This Wookiee co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon has a LEGO version and a Fortnite version!
To note ! You will be able to progress in the LEGO Pass: Rebellion in Construction until July 23, 2024 at 2 p.m. (CEST). Its free rewards, those from the bonus track and the Chewbacca outfit are not exclusive to the Pass. These items may become available in the Item Shop or otherwise at a later date.
New lego versions of update 29.40
Update 29.40 brings more LEGO versions to your old outfits. Among these, some Star Wars outfits which had not yet had the right to a LEGO version! (Don the Darth Vader outfit to… help the rebels?!)
