Larian previews patch 7 and “bad endings”

The developers at Larian are currently working on a new patch for “Baldur's Gate 3”. The studio has now revealed what players can expect from it in a new blog post.

Even though the developers at Larian are slowly moving on to new projects, the studio is far from finished with their role-playing hit “Baldur's Gate 3”. In a new blog post on Steam, the Belgians not only thank the players for their awards at the recent ones BAFTA Awardsbut also talk about the content that fans can expect in the next patch.

Patch 7 for “Baldur's Gate 3” brings with it some bug fixes. However, fans can also look forward to “bad endings” and the official modding tools.

Developers also continue to work on new content

As Larian states in the new blog post, the upcoming update will be 7 improved bad endings Add to Baldur's Gate 3. The developers promise that this will make dark game playthroughs even darker. This should also apply to playthroughs that do not play the Durge, the Dark Urge.

In the post, the developers showed two short clips from the new endings, but warn of spoilers. The upcoming evil cutscenes have been set to new music by BAFTA-winning Larian composer Borislav Slavov, a short clip of which we've included at the end of the post.

Patch 7 will also be those previously announced official modding tools bring along. Larian wants to release more features

The next patch for “Baldur's Gate 3” should also fix some bugs reported by players. These include some problems with the companions Jaheira and Wyll as well as the absence of the narrator in some scenes of the Dark Urge.



Patch 7 will also contain some performance and stability improvements. The update will also bring additional features to the game that the team hasn't talked about yet.

As the developers at Larian state, they are also actively working on bringing crossplay and a photo mode to the world of “Baldur's Gate 3”. However, a lot of work is still needed, so this content will probably only be added to the role-playing game at a later date.
