The medieval saga continues: Warhorse Studios and publisher Plaion publish the action role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 for PC and console.

Update from February 4, 2025: From Tuesday is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series Series X/S. The rustic action role-playing game gets a lot of praise in the meetings of the specialist press for the design of the huge, medieval game world, the lush scope, the dialogue including synchronization and the varied quests.

There is criticism for some technical problems (animations, game physics, crashes), the combat system, the score-memory concept and the lack of accessibility.

The indicators (Wishlist entries, pre-order charts) suggest that Publisher Plaion and the company's own Warhorse Studios can build on the outstanding commercial success of the predecessor. The marketing package includes the nationwide occupancy of German game magazines and a launch event in the Xperion in Berlin.

Update from December 5, 2024: Publisher Plaion moves the release date of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Surprisingly at a week forward-namely from February 11th to February 4, 2024. This emerges from a video message, the PR manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling on Wednesday evening via X published.

A specific reason for this measure remains open. However, there is a lot to say that publishers and studio thus equalize the time sequence of several PC and console blockbusters that have been announced for February- above all Assassin's Creed: Shadows (February 14), Civilization 7 (February 11) and Monster Hunter Wilds (February 28).

The action role-playing game has been completed technically and in terms of content-the remaining weeks can therefore be used for fine-tuning and performance optimization.

In addition to the day-one and gold edition, a Collector's Edition can still be pre-ordered for € 199.99, which includes a 30 cm statue, collection cards, attachment and a fabric card, among other things.

Update from August 15, 2024: In today's quarterly figures, the Swedish Embracer Group also has the shift of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Baked: The medieval role-playing game originally planned for the end of 2024 is now to be released on February 11, 2025 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5-and thus just within the Embracer financial year that ends in March.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 belongs to the 'headliners' of Gamescom 2024, which will start in Cologne next week: Warhorse Studios and Plaion want to present the Collector's Edition there. The novelty is playable at the Plaion stand in Hall 9 and also part of the opening show Gamescom: Opening Night Live on Tuesday evening (August 22).

Message of April 19, 2024: The medieval Bohemia of the 15th century forms the spectacular and brutal backdrop of continuation of Kingdom Come: Deliverancethat has sold more than six million times since publication in February 2018. The second part should appear in the current calendar year for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S (Trailer on YouTube).

The player takes on the role of the brave Heinrich, who faces the civil war turmoil of the kingdom and tries his luck. Compared to part 1, the game world should be twice as large, including idyllic landscapes, cozy forests, extensive settlements and powerful castles that are modeled on the originals. An elementary focus of the game mechanics is again the local and ranged fights with swords, mace, daggers, spears, axes and long arches, the accessibility of which is to be significantly improved. There are also crossbows and experimental gun powder weapons.
