In the quest “Anamnesis” of the DLC “Mysteria Ecclesiae” from KCD 2 you are supposed to investigate the outbreak of a mysterious illness in the Seldletz monastery. Albich helps her examine three sick patients. In our solution we help you with all quest steps.
Start “Anamnesis”.
This is the first real quest in Sedlec Monastery and begins immediately after completing “The Royal Physician”. Abbot Jan suspects that outbreak of the plague in the monastery and commissions doctor Albich to examine the sick. Heinrich supports him with advice and support.
Tip: You now have the opportunity to explore the entire monastery grounds for the first time. This is worth it because there are a few hidden items to find. This is how you get a military sword. Since all of your weapons have been taken away beforehand, you have a sword ready for dangerous situations. This may be useful later. In the monastery cellar you can also catch two brothers playing a secret dice game. If you defeat them, you can earn the new Monk Cube for your collection. This is hidden in one of the barrels in the wine cellar.
Let us show you around the monastery (optional)
To get to know the monastery, talk to us first Brother Petromil at the marked spot in the monastery garden. He takes you to all the important places in the monastery and gives you a lot of background information. Among other things, he shows you the reception hall, the library, the kitchen, the abbot’s chapel and the large church.
Find Slavek’s Purse (Optional)
As soon as you enter the marked infirmary with Albich, you can enter to your right Argument between the injured Jeschek and Slavek observe. If you get involved, you can settle the dispute and Slavek will tell you about his lost wallet. You can look for him and bring him to him. Slavek only gives you a lousy 14 groschen as a reward, but completing this task is a partial requirement in order to get involved “Do good to everyone” to unlock one of the trophies and achievements of the DLC.
Talk to Albich in the infirmary
Now talk to Albich in the infirmary to make an initial assessment of the situation. If you have a high science skill, you can impress Albich and collect reputation points from him. Ultimately you get the next quest step, in which you have to interview the sick or people who know them.
Talk to Confessor Stephan
Stephan is the confessor the only sick person conscious and lies in one of the beds in the infirmary. With a few skill checks you can find out that he has jewelry in his possession. If you examine his marked sleeping quarters in the monastery, you will also find some of the valuable items. He lets it appear that someone gave him the items during confession. Because of the secrecy of the confessional, however, he doesn’t come out completely.
Talk to Manager Zdenyek
Zdenyek could know more about the sick maid Blazhena. He’s standing on that Courtyard north of the monastery. He claims that Blazhena stole supplies and that her friend Valerie might also know more.
Search Blazhena’s Room (Optional)
Go to the first floor of the marked house and look in the chest in front of Blazhena’s bed. Inside you will find lock picks and an unusually large number of pennies.
Talk to Valerie
Valerie is the blonde maid on the farm. She claims that Zdenyek is lying and he is the one who stole from Blazhena. She recommends that you search the basement and also gives you Blazhena’s key.
Search the basement
You can get to the basement if you go down the stairs behind Zdenyek. With Blazhena’s key you can open the chest directly to your left behind the barrels. Inside you will find Zdenyek’s key. After some persuasion, Celestine in the church tells you that Jaroslav often hung around in the monastery cellar.

In the monastery there are several cellar stairs that lead you down. It’s best to take the stairs near the library. Directly next to the stairs takes you a passage through a wooden scaffolding to a hidden door. Behind it you will meet Vojtech.

Return to Albich
