After the successful years with gigantic blockbusters and impressive box office results, a long dry spell followed. Is Pixar part of Disney?
The Pixar Animation Studios has basically been around since 1979, when it was still part of the Graphics Group Lucasfilm known. Bought in 1986 Apple founder Steve Jobs the still small team and renamed it Pixar. The first short film as an independent studio came along Luxo Jr. out in the same year. The first major work in feature length was Toy Story and celebrated its premiere in 1995. He laid the foundation for the studio's huge success. Followed in 2006 the takeover by the Walt Disney Company, since then the official name has been Disney Pixar. The latest film will be released shortly.

When is Inside Out 2 coming to the cinema?
Pixar fans no longer have to wait too long for the studio's next animated film.
