The Witcher on Netflix is coming to an end. After the streaming service recently announced the end of the series about the white-haired witcher, the next blow is now coming. Work on a spin-off was probably completed during filming.
The Witcher: Netflix may be stomping out a spin-off
Just a few days ago, Netflix announced that The Witcher series would end with the fifth season. Now the streaming service seems to want to handle the universe elsewhere too. One Spin-off about Ciri's gang of rats has probably already come to an end before it was ever officially announced.

The website Redanian Intelligence has been responsible for many leaks in the Witcher universe and is usually very well informed. According to the insiders, the series would have revolved around the group young criminal and con artist should consist of six or eight episodes. In the third season of The Witcher, Ciri joins the group; the spin-off would have covered her backstory.
However, now it is said that only two episodes were actually filmed. Netflix looked at the early material and then changed the plan. The Witcher universe on Netflix seems to be slowly coming to an end – at least in live action. The streaming service has already lost a lot of good will among fans since Henry Cavill announced no longer playing Geralt of Rivia. Instead, Liam Hemsworth takes over as the white-haired sorcerer. It's certainly not a bad choice, but he's not the fan favorite Cavill. He is now turning his attention to the next project and is working with Amazon on a series in the Warhammer 40K universe.
