Mega hit or useless cucumber? The last few days have actually been a real celebration for Sonic fans. Finally there were new details to the long-awaited movie Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which will feature an absolute Hollywood legend on board. There are also big announcements circulating that have caused the community's pulse to skyrocket. But before the film hits the big screen, fans get to enjoy it a new series, for which the first ratings are now available. Is it the hoped-for mega hit or a bitter disappointment?
Where can you see Knuckles?
As the title suggests, it's here the spin-off series Knuckles The focus is on the character of the same name, who fans will already know from numerous Sonic games. He is thrown out of his home and sets out on an adventurous journey with Sheriff Wade – always with a comrade of the evil Dr. Robotnik in the neck.

How good is Knuckles actually?
Some representatives of the trade press were allowed to watch some episodes of Knuckles before the official start. The first reviews including ratings are now arriving and paint an initial picture of the mood.
The Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off series currently has an average rating on Rottentomatoes.com amounting to 70 percent. Apparently it's not a mega-flop, but it's not an absolute high-flyer either.
The majority of the ratings so far have been positive. Above all, they praise the humor of the series as well as its basic dynamics. However, the much more critical voices complain the acting performance of some of the actors as well as Knuckles', in her opinion, too child-friendly approach.
Since at the current time only ten ratings were received, the mood is likely to change over the next few days. What else can Sonic fans expect this year?
