Will there be Knights of Passion 2?
Brian Helgeland, director and author of Knight of Passion, recently spoke about his past in the film industry in an interview with Inverse magazine. Among other things, he also talked about projects that he would have liked to do but that ultimately never came to fruition.
This also includes a successor to Ritter out of passion, for which he had already developed a story. His pitch aroused interest from Sony, but Netflix rejected it. But why?
“I pitched it to Sony because they had the rights. It seemed like they wanted to do it together with Netflix, release it as a Netflix film. As I understand it, Netflix had the idea for the sequel to had his algorithms checked and it turned out that it wouldn't be a success.”
