After it was very quiet about “Pragmata” for a long time after its reveal in 2020, Capcom released a new trailer in June 2023. At the same time, the company admitted that the ambitious project still needs a little more development time and is set to an indefinite date internally was postponed.

While Capcom has remained silent since then, we received further unconfirmed details about “Pragmata” shortly before the weekend. These revolve around the history of the title and were circulated by a well-known leaker.

Machines in search of humanity

Citing “Dusk Golem” reported Comic book, that the plot of “Pragmata” revolves around two robots who, after a moving fate, slowly but surely become more and more human. “Pragmata is about two robots living on a failed moon colony. “This was abandoned after robots and AI took over the moon,” says the plot.

And further: “Humans have simply disabled their ability to reach Earth rather than fully addressing the problem. We play two robots who, through the evolution of robots, develop increasingly human traits and have a desire to get to Earth.”

Even though “Dusk Golem” has been right with his statements in the past, he also tends to be wrong with his predictions. As an example, we would like to cite the information that was scattered at the time about the history of “Resident Evil: Village” or his supposed leak of “Resident Evil: Revelations 3”.

In both cases, the information provided by “Dusk Golem” turned out to be misinformation. So please treat his statements with the necessary caution.

As part of the postponement of Pragmata, Capcom apologized to the community for the additional wait time. At the same time, the company emphasized that the developers “will do their best to meet the expectations of the players.” In addition, the end result should compensate for the long wait.

According to unconfirmed reports, the further postponement of “Pragmata” is due to a reboot or a restart of development. Information that those responsible at Capcom neither commented on nor confirmed.

Pragmata is in development for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
